Air India U19 complete a high-flying 3-1 win over Bombay Gymkhana

Mumbai: Air India U19 defeated Bombay Gymkhana by 3-1 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division match held at Goans ground on Sunday afternoon, 2nd April 2017.
The second match of the day at Goans saw two in-form teams collide for three points. Air India U-19 was in stunning form so was Bombay Gymkhana. The match promised to be a thriller on Super Sunday.
As expected the end to end to match started with a couple of good moves from both sides. The concentration amongst both defences was tested early on in the first ten minutes. Both keepers were in for a busy day. Air India were reduced to ten men in the 3rd minute of the match with Yash Vanveru being shown a direct red card. But it was the Air India U19 side that drew first blood in the 12th minute when Dingku Tomba got the better of the Bombay Gymkhana keeper. An intense first half saw Bombay Gymkhana trying to take advantage of the extra man while Air India defence held firm even with a man short.
At halftime Air India U19 lead 1-0 thanks to the strike from Tomba.
The second half started much like the first and it was the Air India side that doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute through Adnan Yaligar. We were in for a thrill ride from then on. Bombay Gymkhana grew into the match as it progressed. The Gymkhana boys got one back in the 64th minute through Hormuz Bana signalling the signs of GAME ON!! With a man down Air India defence was a bit vulnerable for the certain periods. But they soak in all the pressure and in the 81st minute, Advait Shinde rounded off a wonderful move to complete a clinical victory for Air India U19!
