Central Railway HQ reign supreme over Salcette FC, Vailankani Boys edge Kenkre U17
St Xavier’s, Mumbai:
Central Railway HQ marched towards victory beating Salcette FC 3-1 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division matches held at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017.
The Central Railway side opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Shabaz Pathan and stayed focused the entire half to take a one-goal lead at halftime. In the second half, they doubled their lead in the 53rd minute through Sumesh Nair. In the 76th minute stamped their ticket to victory when Ajinkya Nalavde netted their third. Salcette FC got a consolation in the 85th minute through Sahil Mukane but it was not enough as Central Railway walked away with all three points.
Vailankani Boys edged 2-1 past Kenkre FC U-17 in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), First Division match held at St Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017.
Shoaib Baig opened the scoring for the Vailankani Boys in the 26th minute and grabbed his second of the match in the 54th minute to put his team 2-0 up. The two-goal lead was halved in the 71st minute when Nathan Derozarto netted the goal for Kenkre FC U17. But the Vailankani defence protected the one-goal lead with some exceptional defending.
