BlitzKreig reinforced themselves back to their winning ways
2nd February 2017, Mumbai: A hard fought match earned BlitzKreig deservedly all three points against Vidya Vikasini (Teresians FA) in the First Division MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association), Group A which was held at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel.
Blitz & Teresians both manifested high profile attacking football on each end of the pitch but couldn’t break through until halftime as the deadlock was still unbroken.
Siddhesh Jersey no. 3 proved his intelligence in the 48th minute as he stroked one to give BlitzKreig count their first goal of the game.
It was already halfway through to the second half were in the 70th minute the lead was doubled through Francis Jersey no. 10 as the scoreboard ended up with no more addition but enough for the leading side to secure all three points with ease.
Extension to the results as we got to see a couple of yellow cards each to Siddhesh & Jayesh Chawan for missed time challenge on the opponent player deeply in during the game.
Another Result: Mumbai United bounced back through a goal from Meyrick Lobo who cancelled out Terence Trinidade’s early goal for Godrej & Boyce that forced them to share a point in the Second Division MDFA, Group B match occupied at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel.
Addition to it a Third Division MDFA match was also played in the afternoon that resulted in a win for Madanpura team against Nau Nehal by 1-0. Danish Ansari’s lone strike sealed it all for the leading side helping them grasp all three points of the match.
