SSE Champions League Day 1: Round-up
Soccer School of Excellence (SSE), a football academy who has made their name familiar with the development of grassroots programs in and around Mumbai over the last 7 years with its immense contribution towards the development of youth football. SSE trains over 1000 players every week at 29 different centres and schools in Mumbai. The academy has set up a league tournament 6 years running for the young kids to promote grassroots programs in the city. The SSE Champions League, their flagship Junior tournament has been kicked-off on 13th November 2016 at Karnatak Sports Association (KSA) Ground.
SSE CL‘s rules are quite unique and progressive which is designed to give players equal playing time and rotation in different positions. You can read the rest of the rules and format, here: http://www.sseunited.com/scl/
More importantly, every season SSE educates the kid’s parents on league etiquette and psychology with points which they should follow. A Few of points that they are advised to speak to kids before the match:
- Every match is an opportunity for you to learn about your strengths and weaknesses.
- Don’t forget to have FUN! It’s more important than winning or losing for now.
- Take a few deep breaths if you feel nervous before the game. Here is the Round-up of Day 1:
