MDFA DIV I:Deepak Sharma’s last minute header secures win for Miners SC
A total number two matches were scheduled to be played on Lower Parel in MDFA DIV I clash . Today’s first match saw Goans S.A. went head to head with ESIC.The match was turned as walkover in favour of ESIC as Goans S.A. failed to turn up for the match .
In today’s second match was between Miners F C and ICL(Indian Cultural Leauge) ‘B’ . It was end to end contest between the two sides as both the teams had equal chances of grabbing goals in first half . Both team’s defence was playing tight and compact giving very rare chance to the opposition strikers. The score line remained 0-0 at half time .
In the second half both teams tried harder and pushed forward for the goal. But the moment of magic came in 79th minutes when Miners FC earned corner. And the corner resulted in only goal of the match as Deepak Sharma found his name on scoresheet for Miners F C. The Tall and lanky defenders goal proved to be deceive as the match ended with 1-0 scoreline in favour of his side.
