Community Cup: Roaring Tigers win 12-0 as Siddharth Konkar scored 6 past Rolling Stones

Sunday, 5th September 2016: Kenkre FC inaugurated the Community Cup 2016. The cup is a child-first and child focused football development program. On an opening day, a total of 36 matches were played out of the 80 registered teams, simultaneously on four pitches, at St. Andrew’s, Bandra.

The Community Cup will be played on the coming four Sundays; featuring 80 teams across the under-10 Boys, under-12 Boys, under-14 Boys, under-16 Boys and  under-16 Girls categories. The cup is a 5-a-side tournament with 2 players allowed on the bench.

Under-10 Boys

In group A, Sharks led to a 1-1 draw against BVM Bolts; Jash Garg and Rehaan were the goal scorers for the Sharks and BVM Bolts, respectively.

In the opening game of group B, Legendaries vs. Huskies concluded by 2-1 in favour of Huskies; Aaron Cordeiro and Karan Failho scored each for Huskies. FrehanBamji scored the sole goal for Legendaries.

As an intense drama unfolded in group C, neither of Babulnath Tigers and Ironborn Jr. was ready to give-up. The full-time scoreline of 7-4 in favoured Babulnath Tigers. Ananjay Daniel scored four past Iron born Jr. and Adam joined with a hattrick for Babulnath Tigers. KalvinVedumuthu scored a brace, Anwar Ansari and Ebrahim scored one each for Iron Born Jr.

Group D’s AB Chargers vs. FFA U10 finished 3-0 to FFA U10; scorers for FFA U-10 included Ishan,Dhiman and Mehlam. Bombay Boyz’s game against Numero Uno concluded 3-0 to the former; Muhammad Mojawala left the ground with a brace and Amaan Khan scored single for Bombay Boyz to Victory.

Under-12 Boys

In group B, FFA U12 comprehensively won 4-2 against IOT 2; HamzaMotiwala scored a brace for FFA, Ziev Cheddar and Aryaveer Jain scored one each. Manav and Samar scored one each for IOT 2.

In group C, Super Strikers ran out as clear winners in a 6-1 win over IOS Flash; PraveerArora and HarshitKotak scored a brace each, AaahanGatkar scored one for Super Strikers. Aryaveerpodar scored one for OIS Flash.Goalsters vs. SA concluded in a 5-0 for Goalsters as Mannan and Aarav scored a brace each for Goalsters as Aditya added another.

On to group D, where SSE Tigers edged past Shining Stars in a 3-2 win; Arhan Bhatt, Pronay and Kahaan were scorers for SSE Tigers. AtharvBandhare and Calvin D’souza score one each for Shining Stars. In other group game, Kooh Sports A wrapped-up maximum points versus Bandra Stars with a 5-1 win.

Meanwhile, in group H, Thunderbolts’ opening day match concluded in a goalless draw against Knicks. In the other group match, Charges U12 played Kooh Sports B. The game was a draw with scoreline 3-3. KabirChowla scored brace along with AryamanHooda solo goal for Chargers. KrishSehgal, Devansha, VirajThaker scored one each for Kooh Sports.

In group F, it was another goal galore between Galaxy 7 vs. Scottish Shooters. The final scoreline read 14-1 in the favour of Galaxy 7. Harsh Palande, on his best day, scored eight goals for the team. Scott Rodriges and VedantSawant scored a brace each. Vamdam and Jorryn scored one each.

Under-14 Boys

In group A, SiddharthKonkar scored six past Rolling Stones in a 12-0 for Roaring Tigers;Mufaddal scored a brace as Arjun and Aahan contributed to the scoring chart as well. It was followed by another high-scoring game, which saw Ironborn Blue scored eight goals past a helpless Kooh Sports U14; Athar Ansari scored four goals with MokshSurve’s brace. Shane Arahna and RonyChoudary scored one each.

Group B’s opening match featured Turbo Chargers against DRFC. The latter won the tussle with a dominant 4-1 win as AkashSonavane shined with his three goals along with AnirudhRukhe. KarmMulchandani was the sole scorer for Turbo Chargers. Meanwhile, Ironborn Green won 2-1 in a narrow encounter with SSE Tigers U14; Mohammed Khatib and Armash Ansari scored one each for IronBorn Green. TanushJethani was the sole goal scorer for SSE Tigers U14.

In group C, Goal Busters FC played Real United. The opening game of the tournament saw Goal Busters FC hammer 10 goals past Real United in a relishing 10-1 victory. In the following game in group C, Chargers U14 managed to edge over Kingsmen with a 3-2 win; KaustubhMathur scored a brace as Arjun added to the 3-goal tally of Charges U14, while Christen scored two goals for Kingsmen.

In group D, Kings United shared points in a 3-3 draw with Galaxy Boys U14; Piyush scored twice as Karsten added another for Kings United, whereas Arya’s two goals and Prince’s strike helped Galaxy Boys U14 level matters. A six-goal thriller was followed by a 4-0 win for IOT U14 against Leapords; PrathamPrabhani, VivaanMalhotra, KabirSabharwaland KarthikPanicker were the goalscorers for IOT U14.

Under-16 Boys

The game between Predators vs. OIS7 ended with the scoreline of 6-0 in favour of Predators. Dev Gupta smashed five goals past OIS 7 and Yuvraj Shah scored one to put the game to an end.

Meanwhile, BD 7 vs. Galaxy Boys was another 6-goal thriller as the scoreline read 4-2 in the favour of Galaxy Boys. Shourya and Harshit scored one goal each with Ethan Scoring a brace for Galaxy boys. The Goal scorers for BD 7 were Siddhant Mehta and Jash Punjabi.

In BD 7’s second match, they faced Youth Soccer Academy. The match ended in favour of Youth Soccer Academy with score line being 2-0; Joshua and Brendon were the goal scorers for Youth Soccer Academy.

Under-16 Girls

BD Lions stumbled to heavy loss of 7-0 to Ganadores; Muskan Mehra and Sarah Arora scored a hat-trick each. Renee scored one goal. In their second match on the day, BD Lions stumbled to a 3-1 loss against Panthers in a crucial second game; Mallaika Chauhan’ brace and aMuskanChauhan strike secured a win for Panthers.
