MSSA U16 Division II – R.S.B Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu) to face Cathedral & John Connon (Fort) in the final

In the first semi-final of MSSA (Mumbai Schools Sports Association) U-16 Division II, Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu) comfortably defeated Holy Family High School (Andheri) 3-0, at Cooperage Stadium to book their place in the final.

Pratham Goel, Ishan Kapwadak and an unfortunate own goal were enough for the young boys of Arya Vidya Mandir to see themselves in the final.

Arya Vidya Mandir dominated the whole game and never looked back even once since they got the lead through Pratham’s impressive goal. The second goal came very soon when Ishan against the run of play buried his effort in the back of the net to take the proceedings beyond Holy Family High School.

An own goal in the late stages of the match increased Arya Vidya Mandir’s lead to three goals.

In the second semi-final of the same division saw Cathedral & John Connon (Fort) defeat St. Lawrence High School (Borivali) 1-0 in a highly tensed match at, Cooperage Ground.

A solitary goal by Sumer Zaveri proved to be the decisive goal for Cathedral & John Connon as they set up a anticipating clash against Arya Vidya Mandir (Juhu) in the final of U-16 Division II.

The final will be played tomorrow at Cooperage Ground.
