A Nagaland boy, Lanvungthung Khuvung to play in Gothia Cup
Gothia Cup, which is considered to the world’s largest youth football tournament and an Indian player is selected to grace the tournament.
A Nagaland boy, Lanvungthung Khuvung is a student of Christ University Bangalore and is currently pursuing his Third year BA and will represent India in the Gothia Cup. Taking a step further to set standard for the developing footballing nation.
The tournament is scheduled to be held in Sweden between July 17th and 24th.
Lanvungthung Khuvung was selected by the Real Sports Association as the striker purely basis of his skill and dedication.
He was first noticed by the association when he was playing in an under-18 match, representing Sagar School, Rajasthan, couple of years back. He was the captain of the squad and was also awarded the man of the match.
