Aadhar Pratishtan and MSSA XI romps to victory in Women’s League

Aadhar Pratishtan and MSSA both registered a comprehensive 3-0 and 2-0 victory against Sea View S.S and Kenkre FC respectively in the Women’s League at Karnataka Sports Association (KSA) ground on Monday.

Aadhar Pratishtan 3-0 Sea View S.S

Sea View head into the match following their 2-2 draw against Kenkre FC few days back where they had to come back from 2-0 down to draw the match 2-2 in the second-half. It was Ruqqaiya Shaikh’s heroic performance that snatched away a point against a spirited Kenkre FC side.

But on Monday afternoon neither Sea View S.S or Ruqqaiya Shaikh managed to replicate their previous match performance against a strong Aadhar Pratishtan side.

Aadhar Pratishtan’s Shamika Bhandarkar opened the scoring with an excellent strike in the first-half. Her partner in crime Muskaan Mehra doubled the lead which was followed by another goal in the second-half to take the lead by three goals to nil.

It was Muskaan’s 3rd goal in two matches. She had scored in the first match itself against S.P Football Academy where they had prevailed 2-1.

MSSA XI 2-0 Kenkre F.C

MSSA XI who lost their opening game 3-0 against Father Agnels bounced back against Kenkre FC as they romped on to a 2-0 victory.

Sravya Shetty opened the scoring on the 5th minute which was also MSSA XI’s first goal of the season before Denise Pereira scored a brilliant goal on the half an hour mark to put the final nail into the coffin.

Denise received the ball possession on the edge of the box, she danced past couple of defenders with calm and composure before putting the ball into the back of the net.

Meanwhile, it was a yet another disappointing performance from Kenkre FC. Their finishing needs to be improved if they have to mount a serious title challenge.
