Mumbai witnesses the Magic of the Masters League

MDFA Presents 'Mumbai FC Masters League'

Football is coming up alot in our country. With time the tide has been shifting and with some major leagues being played across the country weekends are the time when organizers and sponsorers get time for private tournament. On 21st february 2016, Andheri that is the western side of Mumbai witnessed the magic of the Masters League as it was the final day of an exciting event.

The Masters league was a joint venture held by Mumbai FC, MDFA and FYI Sports. A wonderful initiative from Mumbai FC and MDFA and some brilliant handling by FYI Sports. The event witnessed some well versed and wonderful chief guests:

260 teams participated in the league with over 1800 kids present to grace the game of football. More than 300 coaches step forward to contribute to this event. The parents were in huge number supporting their little ones as the count was more than 1500. The Masters league had three venues namely Andheri, Powai and the St Xavier’s ground Parel. It was a 22 days affair with four age group categories particpating (under 8, 10, 12, 14 boys and girls ). The main objective of the league was to scout kids who will represent Mumbai FC in future. Top 15 players will get a chance to train with national level coaches for a one year period and all free of cost.

The final day saw a lot of hustle bustle and the results of the event are as below:

The Masters League is yet another bold initiative taken by Mumbai FC and MDFA to scout some wonderfully talented players who can represent the club and who knows may be the country in future. This all exciting affair came to an end today and we at Football Counter are proud to be associated with it as we ourselves want to showcase the talent of this city to the entire world. The event was a huge success as the numbers are itself explainatory. Everyone at Football Counter thanks the MDFA , Mumbai FC and FYI Sports for this exceptional event.
