Western Railways punish inefficient KSA
Western Railway struck once in each half to record a 2-0 win against Karnatak Sporting Association in an Elite Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016, and played at the Cooperage ground on Monday afternoon.
Striker Somnath Mondal got Western’s opening goal inthe 11th minute before Sadique A netted the second in the 79th minute to seal the railwaymen’s victory.
Meanwhile in a Super Division match Dena Bank scored a hard-fought 2-1 win against Springfield SC at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Arafat Ansari and Noel Rodrigues were bang on target for Dena Bank, while Akshay Shetty pulled one back for Springfield.
The next Elite Division match will be played between Air India vs Union Bank of India at the Cooperage on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 3.00pm.
