PFL- Corporate Championship by Vermillion Sportz

Vermillion Sportz, a firm formed by a few sports enthusiasts has suddenly come into the limelight across Mumbai with their Corporate Football Tournament being appreciated equally in the sports fraternity as well as the Corporate World. PFL Corporate Tournament was officially inaugurated by Mr. Chandrakant Salunkhe, Founder & President of SME Chamber of India on December 12^th as he kicked the football into the goal. The thunderous applause of the crowd and their vibe & energy only added to making the event a success from the very beginning. 16 eminent corporate teams divided into two groups with each team playing 7 games has caught Mumbai’s Corporate world’s attention.

The Premiership Football League – Corporate is a one month long gala event spread over four weekends organized under floodlights at a 6-a-side newly laid football turf where the 16 corporate teams compete to take the cup home. Big names like Reliance, SpiceJet, Hindustan Times, Wipro, Shreeram City, Cisco, WNS, Ratnakar Bank, Accenture are a few esteemed names among many others that will be seen clashing against each other.

The tournament is an initiative focused on providing a platform to the prisoners of the corporate bondages to rekindle the fire within them for the sport in a professional environment at a competitive level. In today’s sedentary lifestyle, one does need an occasional break from the otherwise monotonous corporate life. After a dull 5-day week with a continuous 9-5 working schedule, a weekend getaway playing your favourite sport acts as a perfect way to relax.

When asked about the tournament and what pushed them to it, Team Vermillion Sportz stated that believe in energizing, empowering and elevating the sports ethos by actively working on the grassroots levels. However, they realized that only a wish to take initiatives to bring a tidal wave of change will not be enough unless it is supported by a strategic vision and an aggressive & tactical plan.

Team Vermillion Sportz seems to have done a great job with the organization of the journey. To say that it is a refreshing change to see a tournament being organized with such a professional approach is nothing less than the truth.
