M.D.F.A. Division 3 saw Catalians S.C. beat Vision Rescue, while Miners ‘B’ played a goalless draw vs. Magic Bus U-19

On November 19th 2015, the Mumbai District Football Association division III witnessed a goalless draw between Miners ‘B’ and Magic Bus U-19. Meanwhile, Catalians S.C. scored two past Vision Rescue. Goal-scorers for C.S.C. were number 18 Rohit Kadam who scored on 2 minutes and number 1 Abdul Gani Sahikh scored the second goal on 33 minutes.

The first-match (and second game on the day) between Catalians S.C. and Vision Rescue was a trilling and much more exciting contest compared to the next game for the only fact that the latter had a winner.

C.S.C. started of brightly scoring in the first 2 minutes on the match with both the sides still settling-in. Their quick and direct movement was too much to take in the opening exchange of play and Vision Rescue took no time to break. The number 18 Rohit Kadam provided the tiniest of touches to score the first goal of the game as he guided the ball under the keeper’s gloves and into the back of the net.

Not many, but a handful of chances fell to both sides throughout the match; it all came down to who remained more clinical in front of the goal, and it was clear looking at the scoreboard on the full-time whistle.

The second-goal came at the cost of a goalkeeping error from the Vision Rescue goalkeeper. Abdul Gani Sahikh powerful left footer proved too much to handle. The latter gave the Catalians F.C. a much needed 2-goal cushion, and a lead which will see them through to the full-time whistle as eventual winners.

The second game between the Miners ‘B’ and Mgic Bus under-19s was more of who will break the deadlock, but a poor display in front of goal meant the viewers were in for a hefty game of football, involving much needed improvement in quality on first-touch and decision making.

Chances were created, but no real goal threatening chances. Even, though both keeper had a lot to do, who mostly collected loose through passes and weak shots on goal.
