Skipper Joyson Leads from the Front as Mumbai Ultras FC Cruise to 3-0 Victory

Mumbai Ultras FC delivered a commanding performance in their latest Mumbai Premier League fixture, securing a dominant 3-0 win over Mumbai Soccer Prodigies.

Coming into the match third in Group B behind leaders MYJ and second-placed Mumbai FC, the Ultras knew a win would give them the opportunity to leapfrog Mumbai FC into second place, and they made sure to grab it with both hands.

On the other side, MSP had a golden opportunity themselves. A victory could have seen them climb three spots up the table to sit just behind fourth-placed Millat FC. However, they were unable to capitalize as the Ultras proved too strong on the day.

The first half saw Mumbai Ultras assert control with disciplined possession and sharp attacking movements. Their breakthrough came in the 42nd minute when skipper Joyson stepped up in style, finding the back of the net to give his side a deserved 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Carrying that momentum into the second half, the Ultras doubled their advantage in the 50th minute. Zele finished confidently after a well-worked move, putting MSP under immense pressure and firmly shifting the contest in the Ultras’ favour.

With MSP pushing forward in search of a way back into the game, spaces began to open — and the Ultras punished them. In the 67th minute, Joyson once again rose to the occasion, completing his brace with a composed finish to seal the result and underline his leadership on the pitch.

The 3-0 victory not only secured a crucial three points for Mumbai Ultras FC but also strengthened their push near the top of Group B, moving them into second place.

For MSP, it was a missed opportunity to climb the standings, as they fell short of collecting the points needed to close the gap on the teams above.
