Mumbai City FC Hold Firm to Defeat Waves FC 2–0

Mumbai City FC vs Waves FC

Mumbai City FC secured a solid 2-0 victory over Waves FC in the Mumbai Premier League after a disciplined defensive performance and two well-taken goals.

Mumbai City took the lead in the 21st minute when Steiner rose highest to head home from a corner and give his side the breakthrough. Waves looked to respond quickly and created a few good chances of their own, but Sunny and Nihaal were unable to convert their opportunities. The first half ended with Mumbai City holding a narrow 1-0 advantage.

Waves came out stronger in the second half and pushed forward in search of the equaliser. Substitute Mohit made an impact on the left wing, delivering several dangerous crosses into the box, but the finishing touch was missing as no attacker managed to connect.

At the other end, Mumbai City’s defence remained composed under pressure. Steiner and Parth stood strong at the heart of the backline, while the goalkeeper produced an assured performance to keep Waves at bay.

Their defensive resilience was rewarded late in the game when Reagan sealed the victory in the 90+5 minute with a brilliant finish around the keeper, confirming a 2-0 win and securing all three points for Mumbai City FC.
