The Indian Super League continues with two exciting encounters on Friday, March 6, as Mohun Bagan Super Giant host Odisha FC at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, while Jamshedpur FC take on Inter Kashi at the JRD Tata Sports Complex later in the evening. The first match is scheduled to kick off at 17:00 IST, followed by the second fixture at 19:30 IST. Both games will be streamed live on FanCode and telecast on Sony Sports Ten 2.

Mohun Bagan SG vs Odisha FC

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will look to maintain their impressive form as they aim for a fourth consecutive win of the season. The Mariners have historically enjoyed the upper hand in this fixture, winning six of their 13 meetings against Odisha FC, with six matches ending in draws and Odisha claiming just one victory.

Despite their strong position, head coach Sergio Lobera has urged his players to stay focused and respect their opponents. He emphasised that football can always produce surprises and that his side must prove their superiority on the pitch rather than rely on expectations.

Odisha FC, meanwhile, will be determined to challenge the league leaders. The Juggernauts have started their campaign with two draws, including a 1-1 result against Chennaiyin FC where captain Carlos Delgado scored the equaliser in the 68th minute.

Head coach TG Purushothaman acknowledged the team’s improvement but highlighted the need for sharper attacking play. He stressed that defensive stability alone will not be enough and that the team must be more decisive in the final third. Defender Thoiba Singh Moirangthem also expects a demanding contest, noting that the match will test the team’s midfield and defence against one of the strongest sides in the league.

Jamshedpur FC vs Inter Kashi FC

Later in the evening, Jamshedpur FC will aim to continue their excellent start to the season when they host newly-promoted Inter Kashi. The Men of Steel currently sit near the top of the standings after winning their first three matches, including a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over East Bengal FC in their previous outing.

Head coach Owen Coyle praised the commitment and discipline shown by his squad so far, stressing that their strong start has been built on hard work and focus. However, he warned against complacency, highlighting that Inter Kashi have proven to be a resilient side.

Inter Kashi head into the match with confidence after registering their first-ever ISL victory against Kerala Blasters in Kochi. The team currently remain unbeaten in the league, having also secured two draws earlier in the campaign.

Head coach Antonio Habas acknowledged that adapting to the league has taken time but believes his young squad is steadily improving. He praised the players’ professionalism and defensive organisation, expressing confidence that the team can compete strongly as the season progresses.

With both matches featuring teams in strong early-season form, Friday’s fixtures promise to deliver two competitive encounters as the ISL campaign continues to gather momentum.
