Real Kashmir FC Withdraws from AIFF Super Cup 2025; Dempo SC Likely to Step In
Real Kashmir FC has officially withdrawn from the upcoming AIFF Super Cup 2025 due to unavoidable circumstances beyond the club’s control.
In a statement released by the club, it was confirmed that their foreign players were unable to secure visas on time, which delayed their arrival and participation in the pre-season camp. This unexpected issue left Real Kashmir with a limited squad of domestic players, making it impractical to prepare adequately for a tournament of such prestige and competitive intensity.
“With only a small domestic group available for training, it became impossible to compete at the required level of the AIFF Super Cup,” the club explained, expressing regret over the decision.
The club further clarified that these circumstances were completely beyond their control and that the withdrawal was made in the best interest of maintaining sporting standards and player welfare.
In light of Real Kashmir’s withdrawal, Dempo SC has been named as a potential replacement for the competition, with the All India Football Federation (AIFF) expected to confirm the change soon.
Real Kashmir FC also assured supporters that the team remains committed to regrouping and returning stronger in the domestic season ahead. Known for their resilience and strong fan base, the Snow Leopards’ absence will be felt in this year’s Super Cup.
