India On Track run riot with a 7–1 Win Over Bombay Gymkhana in MPL Clash

by Chandler D'silva December 17, 2025

India On Track (IOT) continued their strong start to the Mumbai Premier League 2025–26 with an emphatic 7–1 victory over Bombay Gymkhana, producing one of the most commanding performances of the season so far. Coming off a 2–1 win against Waves FC, IOT carried their momentum into this fixture, while Bombay Gymkhana were hoping to recover after their opening defeat to Hope United.

IOT made their intentions clear from the opening minutes. They took the lead as early as the 2nd minute, when Omkar found the net with a sharp finish. The pressure continued, and just three minutes later, winger Abner doubled the advantage with a composed effort past the goalkeeper. Bombay Gymkhana tried to settle into the game, but IOT’s defence remained solid and difficult to break down.

The early dominance paid off again in the 22nd minute, when Omkar scored his second of the match to make it 3–0. Bombay Gymkhana responded quickly, pulling one back through Amar in the 25th minute, which gave them some hope heading into the latter stages of the half. However, IOT remained in control and went into halftime with a 3–1 lead.

The second half followed a similar pattern. IOT resumed with the same attacking intent and extended their lead in the 54th minute through Armash, who finished well to make it 4–1. Bombay Gymkhana struggled to contain the pressure, and Arfat added the fifth goal in the 64th minute.

IOT continued to attack with confidence. Sanchit made it 6–1 in the 67th minute, and later in the match, Arfat completed his brace with a goal in the 87th minute, sealing a comprehensive 7–1 win.

With this result, India On Track will look to build further on their excellent form and confidence. Bombay Gymkhana, meanwhile, face a tough challenge ahead after suffering back-to-back defeats and will need to regroup quickly as the league progresses.
