by Chandler D'silva December 15, 2025

Hope United continued their strong start to the Mumbai Premier League 2025–26 season with a comfortable 4–0 victory over DK Flag Foundation in both teams’ second match of the campaign. Coming off a 2–1 win against Bombay Gymkhana, Hope United looked confident, while DK Flag Foundation were eager to bounce back after their opening defeat to MH Oranje FC.

The first half saw Hope United take control of the game, with Lalit Bangera dictating play from the centre of the pitch and linking attacks effectively. Their pressure paid off when Rishi Chauhan scored his second goal of the season, finishing well after a neat assist from Lalit. DK Flag Foundation did have a few attacking moments but failed to convert their chances, while Hope United continued to push without finding a second goal before halftime. The score remained 1–0 at the break.

Hope United started the second half in the same aggressive manner. DK Flag Foundation searched for an equaliser, but Hope United’s defence left them with little space to work with. In the 54th minute, Denzil doubled the lead with a well-placed header, giving Hope United further control of the match.

The momentum stayed firmly with Hope United. In the 69th minute, Lalit Bangera added his name to the scoresheet with a well-struck effort, making it 3–0. The attacking pressure continued, and Denzil completed his brace with Hope United’s fourth goal, effectively sealing the contest.

The final whistle confirmed a dominant performance from Hope United, who made it two wins from two matches. DK Flag Foundation, meanwhile, have endured a difficult start to the season with two defeats, conceding seven goals without scoring. They will now look to regroup and return stronger in their upcoming fixtures.

Hope United take confidence from another solid display as they continue their early push in the league.
