Swayam Jain’s first half goal leads Mumbai Soccer Prodigies to 1-0 win over ROQS
Despite some exceptional defending from ROQs FC, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies secured a 1-0 win with Swayam Jain’s first half header making the deference in MFA Super League encounter.
The match kicked off with an early attack from Mumbai Soccer Prodigies, as Maanav Varanasi received a pass from left corner inside the box, he attempted a goal which was saved by Rishi Sharma, the goal keeper of ROQS but the shot deflected off him and found Soham Jadhav who aimed for the left corner of the nets but the shot missed the target.
Mumbai Soccer Prodigies’ Swayam Jain found a well-directed pass and shot a header, securing first goal for his team and giving them a lead of 1-0 which proved out to be crucial in the match. ROQS had their chances as well, with a corner shot deflecting to Pranit Vyas, who in attempt to score for his team, sent the ball over the bar. A coordinated gameplay between Girish Kamath and Swayam Jain inside the box turned out to be a close call but Rishi Sharma came for the rescue of his team and collected the ball swiftly. With this action, first half reached its conclusion.
Second Half began with a free kick just before the midline for ROQS due to yellow card. Pranit Vyas took the kick, targeting the upper left corner of the nets but the shot missed its mark. In a coordinated gameplay between Aaron Pinto and Soham Jadhav, Soham provided Aaron Pinto a well-executed pass, Aaron pounced on the opportunity given to him and attempted a shot from inside the box but the defenders of ROQS found the shot denying him the chance to score.
Maanav Varanasi, positioned just outside the box, received a pass from left wing and unleashed a powerful shot towards the centre of the nets which was impressively saved by Rishi Sharma. Swayam Jain received a pass just outside the box by Soham Jadhav and made a swift run towards goalpost trying to beat the defence of ROQS, but they held him at bay successfully. Mumbai Soccer Prodigies earned a free kick just outside the box, with Varad Parab taking the shot, although Rishi Sharma defended the shot, the ball deflected off him to Swayam Jain, who attacked the nets once again, only to be saved by Rishi Sharma again by showcasing his remarkable brilliance in keeping.
With these intense highlighted moments, second half reached its conclusion with Mumbai Soccer Prodigies winning the match with a close margin of 1-0.
