Nihal Colaco’s Brace and Dev Dewoolkar’s Goal Seal Victory for MSP Against West Zone United FC

MSP continued to build momentum with another dominant performance, defeating West Zone United FC with a thrilling 3-1 scoreline.

Following their impressive 3-1 victory against Brothers WA, where Deep Moorjani and Joseph Dmello’s heroics led 10-man MSP to an emphatic win, the team maintained their fine form by easing past West Zone United. This time, it was Nihal Colaco and Dev Dewoolkar who stole the show, each finding the net to secure another 3-1 triumph.

The match began with high energy from West Zone United FC. In the 24th minute, West Zone’s No. 9 delivered a pinpoint cross from the left wing, allowing Manav Mullick to rise above the defenders and head the ball into the net, giving West Zone United an early lead.

As the first half approached its end, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies equalized. Skipper Deep Moorjani orchestrated the attack, delivering an exquisite through pass to striker Nihal Colaco. One-on-one with the goalkeeper, Nihal calmly slotted the ball past him to level the score.

The second half began with heightened intensity from MSP. Striker Nihal Colaco, in outstanding form, unleashed a sensational long-range shot in the 63rd minute, leaving the opposition goalkeeper stranded. This goal not only completed Nihal’s brace but also gave MSP a well-deserved lead.

To assert their dominance further, Dev Dewoolkar added a third goal for MSP. Joseph D’mello of MSP skillfully maneuvered past his marker on the flank and delivered a precise cross into the box, where Dev was perfectly positioned to tap in the ball and secure the third goal, further solidifying their lead.

Looking ahead, Mumbai Soccer Prodigies will aim to continue their winning streak as they face South Mumbai United FC, who finished 3rd in the MFA First Division last season. Meanwhile, West Zone United FC will look to bounce back when they take on KSA Juniors on September 23rd.
