MSYL U17 League 2024 concludes with RFYC as champions!

The Maharashtra State Youth League (MSYL) U17 came to an exciting close, with Reliance Foundation Youth Champs (RFYC) lifting the championship trophy after an exhilarating run of fixtures.

The league, which saw fierce competition and thrilling moments throughout, showcased some of the best young football talent across Maharashtra.

Champions: RFYC

RFYC dominated the league and secured the championship with consistent performances. They played a total of 15 games including the Playoff rounds, finished at the top of the table both times, with 14 wins and just one loss. A clinical 3-0 victory over SSE BFC in their last playoff round fixture sealed their triumph, crowning them as the 2024 MSYL U17 Champions.

Runners-Up: Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City FC also delivered a stellar campaign, finishing as the runners-up. The team consistently pushed their limits and showcased some remarkable football, narrowly missing out on the top spot falling behind by just 2 points. Their resilience and hard work earned them a well-deserved second place in this season’s MSYL U17.

Individual Honors:

Sai Patil (Oranje FC): The prolific striker from Oranje FC finished as the league’s Top Scorer with an incredible 16 goals. His sharp instincts and clinical finishing made him a standout performer, contributing greatly to his team’s efforts.

Suhail Dar (RFYC): Recognized for his heroic goalkeeping, Suhail Dar of RFYC bagged the prestigious Best Goalkeeper award. His reliable performances between the posts were crucial in RFYC’s unbeaten run, making him an invaluable asset to the champions.

A Platform for the Future Stars

The MSYL U17 league has once again served as a fantastic platform for young footballers across Maharashtra to shine. It has been instrumental in developing grassroots football in the state, offering these young athletes the opportunity to showcase their talent and potentially catch the eyes of scouts at a higher level.
