MFA First Division Playoffs Fixtures: A Round-Up

The MFA First Division Playoffs are set to kick off today, August 6th at Neville D’Souza Ground, featuring the top 10 teams from five groups.

Each team battled hard to secure their spot, and the playoff matches promise to be thrilling.

Teams Qualified:

• Group A: Rudra FC, South Mumbai United FC
• Group B: Shastri Nagar FC, Oscar Foundation
• Group C: United City FC, Waves FC
• Group D: Anstrengung United, Regal FC
• Group E: Bombay Gymkhana, Don Bosco Academy Playoff Fixtures:

Match 1: 9:00 AM – Rudra FC vs Don Bosco Academy

• Rudra FC, with an impressive record of 6 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss, faces Don Bosco Academy, who made a strong comeback with 5 wins out of 6 matches. This opening clash is set to be an exciting start to the playoffs.

Match 2: 11:00 AM – United City FC vs Regal Sports

• United City FC, undefeated in Group C, takes on Regal Sports from Group D, also unbeaten. With Regal Sports boasting a better goal difference (+14), this match will be a tough test for United City’s defense.

Match 3: 1:00 PM – Bombay Gymkhana vs South Mumbai United

• Bombay Gymkhana, the only team with a perfect win record, battles South Mumbai United FC, who have only one loss in their campaign. This match is expected to be a tightly contested affair.

Match 4: 3:00 PM – Oscar Foundation vs Waves FC

• Oscar Foundation, with a rich history in MFA, faces Waves FC, a team promoted in two consecutive seasons. Both teams have experience and will look to advance further in the playoffs.

Match 5: 5:00 PM – Anstrengung United vs Shastri Nagar FC

• The final match of the first round pits Group B’s Shastri Nagar FC against Group D’s Anstrengung United. Shastri Nagar’s impressive goal difference (+29) highlights their attacking and defensive prowess, promising an intriguing end to the first-round fixtures.

The next round’s draws will take place on August 6th, with matches scheduled for August 8th. The MFA season is set for an exciting conclusion, and fans can expect intense competition and high-stakes matches as teams vie for top honors.
