Joyson Chettiar, Shreyas Zele star with Hat-Tricks as Mumbai Ultras storm to 10-0 win

Joyson Chettiar, Shreyas Zele star with Hat-Tricks as Mumbai Ultras obliterated Spartans FC with a staggering 10-0 scoreline in a one-sided Mumbai Super League encounter.

The Ultras’ formidable duo, Joyson Chettiar and Shreyas Zele, ran riot, with Joyson netting an impressive haul and Shreyas securing his second hat trick of the season.

The goal-fest began just three minutes into the game when a mistake by Spartans’ goalkeeper opened the floodgates. A cross from the left wing was initially cleared, but the ball fell to Soham Mahadik, who unleashed a low, tight shot from the edge of the box. Despite the goalkeeper’s attempt to save it, the ball slipped through his hands, and Shreyas Zele capitalized on the error, flicking the ball into the net to give Ultras an early lead.

Ultras continued their relentless attack, with their second goal coming shortly after. A well-orchestrated play down the right flank saw Shahid deliver an perfect pass to Soham, who cleverly diverted the ball to Joyson Chettiar, when the Spartans keeper charged him. Positioned perfectly at the edge of the box, Joyson calmly flicked the ball over two defenders into an empty net, doubling Ultras’ lead.

By the 20th minute, Ultras extended their lead to 3-0. A quick exchange of passes resulted in a through ball to Shreyas on the left wing, who delivered a low cross into the box. Joyson, unmarked, produced a composed one-touch finish, sending the ball to the far post.

The fourth goal saw Joyson turning provider as he threaded a precise through ball to Dhaval, who squared it to Shreyas for an easy tap-in. Minutes later, Joyson completed his hat trick after missing a clear one-on-one chance. A squared pass from Soham allowed Joyson to tap in his third, capping off a dominant first half for Ultras, who led 5-0 at the break.

The second half began with Ultras wasting no time. Just two minutes in, Shreyas set up Dhaval Tandel at the edge of the box, who unleashed a powerful drive that left the keeper helpless, extending the lead to 6-0.

Joyson soon added his fourth and perhaps his finest goal of the afternoon. Soham once again assisted with a sharp pass inside the box, allowing Joyson to blast a top-corner finish into the left side of the net, pushing the score to 7-0.

Shreyas Zele completed his hat trick in the 55th minute after a defensive mix-up by Spartans. A miscommunication led to a loose back pass, which Shreyas quickly latched onto, racing behind the defenders to calmly finish the chance, bringing the score to 8-0.

Substitute Raj added to Spartans’ misery by scoring two goals in the final 15 minutes. His first came from a brilliant through ball by Dhaval, which allowed Raj to sprint from the center circle and finish past the keeper. His second goal was a stunning strike from the edge of the box, sealing a 10-0 victory for the Ultras.

Spartans FC had no answer to the relentless pressure from Mumbai Ultras, managing just two shots all game, none of which were on target. In stark contrast, Ultras recorded 19 shots, with 12 on target, showcasing their ruthless efficiency in front of goal.
