India on track beat West Zone United 4-0, confirm Playoff berth from Group C

In a dominating display India on track registered a 4-0 victory over West zone United to confirm their place in play-off.

The intense match between on India on track and West zone united displayed an amazing and exhilarating display. India on top created a chance for an early goal as Anurag PC and Sabestine Almeida combined together, where Sabestine Almeida found the pass and made a run into the box only for West Zone United defenders to close in and thwarted the efforts of Sabestine Almeida.

At the other end, West Zone launched their own attack after a long struggle as Jersey no. 6 showcased excellent dribbling skills and provided a promising chance for goal but despite it the final finish eluded them as the score remained goalless.

For IoT, Aklanta Basumatary took the control of the ball, embarked upon a daring run towards the nets and shot the ball targeting the top right corner but his efforts fell short as the ball sailed past the nets missing the target.

Momentum shifted towards West Zone United when Jersey no. 24 seized the ball, evaded the offside track like a magician and made a beeline for the goal. However Anish Chetty exhibiting quick reflexes ventured outside the box to deny his opponent any opportunity to score a goal seizing back the momentum for India on track. First half ended with both the teams locked in a tense conditions.

Second half showcased pure class and dominance by India on track. The first breakthrough came when Saurabh Nikam received the pass inside the box, got himself in a comfortable position quickly, before he shot the ball targeting the upper left corner of the nets and scoring first of the game to put his team in lead.

India On Track continued the onslaught as Veron Koli received the pass at right wing inside the box and transferred the ball to his teammate Sanus Rajan who seized this golden opportunity and unleashed a masterful shot towards the left corner, scoring second goal for his team.

The game intensified further as India on track earned a penalty and Rohan D’silva stepped up to take the shot and took a well-placed strike towards the lower left corner and scored third goal for his team. Completing their dominance further in the game, Anurag PC passed the ball from right wing to Aklanta Basumatary who aimed for the defenders near the goalpost. Although the keeper managed to block the initial attempt, the ball deflected towards Amrendra Singh, who taped home comfortably taking the lead to 4-0.

India on track showcased pure dominance and unleashed a goal fest in second half leading themselves to a well deserved victory and with this win confirmed their play-off Spot.
