A Tale of two halves as Bombay Gymkhana took on Young Guns FA (Rhema) in a thrilling MFA Super League contest that ended in a 1-1 draw.

The first half of the game was dominated by Bombay Gymkhana, who exhibited exceptional teamwork and precision. Anas Vadgama was in fine form, creating a scoring opportunity early on by setting up Harmeet in the box. Harmeet’s cross, however, couldn’t find a recipient.

Another moment of brilliance came from Kazi, who launched a spectacular volley from the halfway line, setting up Vishal on the right wing. Vishal’s dangerous cross was blocked by the Young Guns FA (Rhema) goalkeeper Shivam Joshi, denying Bombay Gymkhana yet again.

As the half progressed, Kazi’s long ball found their striker Anas, who made a darting run into the box. Anas was brought down in a controversial challenge, leading to passionate appeals for a penalty, but the referee remained unmoved.

Kazi’s relentless efforts continued as moments later he dribbled past multiple defenders but couldn’t find the crucial pass to Anas. It wasn’t until a well-executed corner that Bombay Gymkhana finally broke the deadlock. Harmeet’s precision met Ali’s head, and the ball found the back of the net with a slight deflection from a Young Guns defender.

The first half concluded with a scoreline of 1-0 in favor of Bombay Gymkhana, who displayed dominant play and control.
