Mumbai Super League: Soccer Saga dominates Colaba FC with a convincing 4-0 win

In a dominant display of a game, Soccer Saga hammered Colaba FC 4-0 in an action-packed showdown at the Neville D’souza Ground

In a dominant display of a game, Soccer Saga hammered Colaba FC 4-0 in an action-packed showdown at the Neville D’souza Ground, Bandra yesterday afternoon.

The 1st half began with an unexpected twist when an error from Soccer Saga’s Ranson Patel presented Colaba FC’s No. 7 with a golden opportunity. However, the attempted chipped shot over the keeper was denied by the vigilant goalkeeper Utkarsh, who made a spectacular save to keep his team safe.

Soccer Saga’s first chance of the game came from a corner kick that landed right in the middle of the box. The clearance found Jiten Patel, who tried his luck from a distance, but the ball sailed inches above the post, leaving the crowd in awe.

The action continued with another chance for Soccer Saga, as the ball was crossed into the middle of the box and eventually landed at the feet of Ramesh Chitarpalli. He took a shot that ricocheted off the crossbar, and Fahad Sayed attempted to capitalize on the rebound, only to be denied by a crucial goal-line clearance by Colaba FC’s No. 5.

The breakthrough came for Soccer Saga with a beautifully taken corner by Jiten Patel, which found its way to Ranson Patel. Ranson executed an exceptional header, sending the ball into the back of the net to break the deadlock.

But Soccer Saga wasn’t done just yet. They swiftly doubled their lead within minutes. Jasim, seized the moment with a shot from outside the box. The Colaba FC keeper misjudged the ball’s trajectory, leading to another goal.

As the half progressed, Soccer Saga had more chances, with Allwyn Dsouza taking a shot that sailed high after Ranson Patel provided an exceptional long free kick right into the box. In the midfield, Soham Shintre controlled the game with finesse, while Jasim’s exceptional play on the right wing set the wing on fire.

Jasim was the contributor in the 3rd goal when his cross from the wings found an unmarked Allwyn Dsouza with an easy header into the net to make it 3-0.

The second half kicked off with Soccer Saga leading 3-0 against Colaba FC. Despite the commanding lead, the excitement continued as both sides went for goals making it end-to-end football.

Soccer Saga had several opportunities to extend their lead further. Fahad Sayed orchestrated a through ball to Jasim, who dribbled past his marker beautifully but saw his pass inside the box thwarted. Colaba FC’s goalkeeper was quick to react.

The second half saw a series of missed opportunities from both sides, with chances for Soccer Saga to widen the gap and Colaba FC to stage a comeback. Allwyn Dsouza from Soccer Saga found himself in a one-on-one situation with the keeper but chipped the ball over the post, much to the relief of Colaba FC.

Ultimately, Soccer Saga sealed their dominance with a remarkable volley from the keeper Utkarsh koli to set up Allwyn Dsouza, who calmly chipped the ball over the Colaba FC goalkeeper.

The final whistle blew with the score at Soccer Saga 4, Colaba FC 0. In a display of skill, teamwork, and determination, Soccer Saga emerged victorious with a resounding 4-0 win, as they showcased their prowess.
