MFA Elite Division Roundup: KSA maintains lead; India Rush earns first win of the season

The MFA Elite Division saw a flurry of action over the past couple of days, with several teams securing vital wins to keep their hopes of a top-three finish alive.

On Monday, India Rush Soccer Club secured their first win of the campaign with a 3-0 victory over Silver Innings FC. After a goalless first half, India Rush came out strong in the second half, with goals from Saurabh Ramteke, Sujal Ghanekar, and Douglas Nair helping them secure the win. This lifted India Rush from the bottom of the table to the 15th spot.

In the afternoon game, Kenkre FC secured a 4-0 win over Rudra FC. Captain Silvester Sarao opened the scoring in the 22nd minute before Abner Fernandes completed a hat-trick in the second half to secure a comfortable win for Kenkre. This loss meant Rudra FC dropped to the bottom of the table.

On Tuesday, KSA secured a 3-0 win over Iron Born FC. Three goals in the first half, including a brace from Asadul Khan, helped KSA secure the win and maintain their spot at the top of the league table, four points ahead of Atlanta.

DK Pharma also secured a 2-0 win over Mumbai Strikers. An own goal from Naren Thakur at the point of halftime handed DK Pharma the lead, and a second-half goal from substitute Mohammed Arshaf sealed the win for them. This keeps DK at the 3rd spot in the league table.

Overall, the MFA Elite Division is heating up as teams battle for a top-three finish or escape the relegation zone. With only a few games left, every point will count a lot as teams look to secure their spots in the league table.
