MFA Elite Division resumes with a Bang: Round-up of the Latest Matches

The MFA Elite Division returned after an eight-day break with a bang, as fans were treated to a thrilling round of matches.
In the first match after the return on January 12, PIFA Sports FC took on Millat FC. It was a tightly contested match, with both teams battling for control of the game. However, Millat FC came out on top, thanks to goals from Duane Dsouza in the 26th minute and Adnan Ishke in the 56th minute. PIFA Sports FC managed to get a late goal through Shamer Swamy in the 85th minute, but it was not enough to secure a point.
The second match of the day saw Kenkre take on Silver Innings. It was a closely-fought match, with both teams putting in a strong performance. Kenkre took the lead in the 18th minute through Raul Almeida’s goal, but Silver Innings fought back and secured a point with a goal from Khusal Makwana in the 52nd minute.
On Friday, The Oranje FC faced off against Mumbai Strikers SC. The Oranje FC dominated the match from start to finish, securing a comfortable 4-0 victory. Goals from Rahul Unnithan (Captain) in the 9th minute, Rinaldo Fernandes in the 67th and 80th minutes, and Sahil Bhokare in the 82nd minute sealed the win for The Oranje FC.
The second game of the day saw Karnatak Sporting Association (KSA) take on Bombay Muslims. KSA secured a 3-0 victory after Bombay Muslims chose to forfeit the match, which saw KSA remain top of the league table with 19 points in 7 games.
The Oranje FC moves to fourth in the league table with 15 points in seven-game while Millat FC is one place behind at fifth on goal difference.
