Rohit KS shines in debut as Mumbai Knights secure 2-1 victory over PIFA FC

In a hot and humid afternoon match at Neville D’Souza Football Turf, PIFA FC took on the Mumbai Knights in match no 36 of the MFA Elite Premier League.

The match got off to a quick start, with PIFA taking the lead in the 2nd minute through a goal from Varad Ayare, one of the fastest goals of the season alongside Arya Gandharva’s strike for Kenkre earlier in the season.

However, Mumbai Knights responded quickly, equalizing in the 13th minute through a debut goal from Rohit KS, who headed in a cross from the right flank.

The rest of the first half was closely contested, with both teams battling for control of the match. The match was a physical one, with the referee, Santu Sanfui, handing out 5 yellow cards throughout the game.

In the second half, the Mumbai Knights continued to press forward and were ultimately able to secure the victory with a second goal from Rohit KS in the 75th minute. PIFA keeper Ummed Nat got a hand to the ball, but was unable to stop it from finding the back of the net.

Overall, the Mumbai Knights were the stronger team on the day, securing a 2-1 victory over PIFA FC. Rohit KS was named the player of the match for his impressive performance.
