Pires fires 2 as Sellebrity FC recover to overcome JMJ Sports Club 4-1

Sellebrity FC recovered from a goal down to overcome JMJ Sports Club by a 4-1 margin in their Mumbai Football Association, Elite Premier League match held at the Cooperage ground on Monday.

JMJ Sports Club started in a rousing fashion and rocked the rival goal in the very second minute with Runal Patil striking the opening goal of the match.

Taking a crucial lead ahead, JMJ Sports Club continued to call the shots and soaked in plenty of pressure from the Sellebrity attackers. After a couple of attempts, Sellebrity managed to find the equalizer through Olaide Amosson’s goal in the 32nd minute and the teams went into the break on level terms at 1-all.

After the change of ends, Kaustubh Panchal added a second for Sellebrity FC before Brendan Pires got a quick-fire brace five minutes from time to put Sellebrity FC up by 4-1.

The match was a clean flowing action and just two yellow cards were produced as Sellebrity FC completed the turnaround by snatching a deserving 4-1 verdict.

Result: Sellebrity FC (Olaide Amosson 32′, Kaustubh Panchal 70′, Brendan Pires 82′, 85′) 4 – 1 JMJ Sports Club (Runal Patil 2′)
