MFA Elite Corporate League: Bank of Baroda beat Bank of India 5-0

Braces from Denzil Mascarenhas and Sanket Humbe gave Bank of Baroda a comfortable 5-0 win over Bank of India in the MFA Elite corporate league game
Coming from the two back-to-back wins, Bank of Baroda almost conceded within the first five minutes of the game when an error from Goalkeeper Rohit Patil allowed Bank of India forward Rohit Pillai to capitalize on the loose ball however he failed to find the target.
Not long after in the 8th minute, Denzil Mascarenhas didn’t make any mistakes as his sublime volley off a cross from the right flank beat the keeper to find the net as Bank of Baroda took the early lead. Five minutes later, a foul just outside the box by BOI player allowed Rakshit Pillai to set up for the free-kick. The midfielder made no mistake as his free-kick beat the wall and the keeper to nestle into the net.
Around the half-hour mark, Sanket Humbe capitalized on a mistake from BOI defender to find himself one on one with the keeper. The forward made no mistake in slotting the ball past the keeper to make it 3-0. Three minutes later, Denzil beat the offside trap to latch onto a through ball from the middle before shooting it past the keeper to make it 4-0 within the first half.
Bank of India steadied a bit in the second half and started creating a couple of their own chances but failed to beat the BOB defense. In the 65th minute, while in attack Alvito missed a pass that Rakshit latched onto as he switched on his afterburners to race off in a counter-attacking move before laying it off for Sanket who made no mistake with his finish to make it 5-0. The game saw no more goals after that with Bank of Baroda completing a hat-trick of wins.
