India vs Nepal- Preview, Head to Head and Where to Watch

The Indian national team are all set to play two international exhibition games against the adjoining team Nepal on the 2 and 5th of September.The two subsequent friendlies among India and Nepal are to be played at the Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu.On one hand, we have The Blue Tigers, a side that have always been dominant over Nepal and in the face of their recent events, the results will come out hopefully well. On the flip side, the team Nepal are optimistic than ever. After the influx of Abdullah Almutairi back in April, like his Indian parallel Igor Stimac, lodges a brand based stamp of football, making the rival as gripping as ever.The Indian team will kick start its preparations for the next month’s SAFF Championships in Maldives with the first of the two international friendly matches against Nepal.

As a part of India’s camp held in Kolkata, team India pulled on IFA XI in an preseason game which was persuaded by them resulting 1-0 with Akash Mishra on the mark. The Blue tigers later played a exhibition match counter Mohammedan Sporting which they won 2-0.

The head coach of the squad Abdullah Almutairi has stipulated 25 players for the two battles against India. including four goalkeepers in the squad mentioning Kiran Limbu who is bosom in the Indian domestic circuit.RohitChand has played in India for Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. He currently strands his peddle in Jakarta.However, Almutairihas chosen to prohibit Arpan Karki ,forwards Sishir Lekhi and Abhishek Rijal. Rijal is a player who has frolicked in India for Mohammedan Sporting and Aizawl FC distributively.

India and Nepal have met each other on 19 instances in the past,out of which India have won 13 matches and Nepal have won two games and four times the matches have ended in a tie. As analysed, Nepal as an opponent and the kind of progress they made in the FIFA world cup qualifiers they have put on display that they can play quality football and can defend as a team.

India have scored 33 goals and attempted nine.The last time these two sides met was on June 6, 2017, at the Mumbai Football Arena where the Blues Tigers emerged victorious.Thanks to goals from Sandesh Jhingan and JejeLalpekhlua.The last time, The Gorkhalis hosted India was on March 17, 2015, in the second leg of the 2018 World Cup qualifying play-offs. The match ended in a goalless draw.Sunil Chhetri is the elevated Indian goalscorer against Nepal with five goals in eight international matches sticked to IM Vijayan and Carlton Chapman who have scored three goals each.

However, as predicted team India is more likely to score first. The Indian football team clench a superior head-to-head note against Nepal, having won 13 of the 19 matches played between these two sides. On the other hand, Nepal have managed just two victories while four matches have ended in a draw.Analysed, Nepal as an opponent and the kind of progress they made in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. They have put on display that they can play quality football and can defend as a team.
