Chennaiyin FC part ways with Head Coach Csaba Lazlo

Chennaiyin FC part ways with Head Coach Csaba Lazlo after a dissatisfying season. The club officially announced the departure of the 57-year-old yesterday on Twitter.

On 29th May 2020, Csaba was appointed the Head Coach of Chennaiyin FC for the 2020-21 Hero Indian Super League season. The team won only 3 games and had 11 draws out of 20 games in this edition and languished at 8th position with 20 points. Chennaiyin FC conceded a total of 23 goals and scored only 17 goals this season. The team managed to keep only 6 clean sheets.

The club tweeted “We would like to thank Csaba Lazlo, Admir Kozlic, Csaba Gabris and Martin Raska for their contributions last season. We wish them the best for their future!”

Despite the tough games and high pressure, Csaba always had a positive outlook towards his stint in India but unfortunately, things failed to fall in place with the management.
