A second half hat-trick from Sunil Lohar propel ONGC to a big 5-0 victory meanwhile in Super Division Atlanta down late Ratnam challenge to pick all three points.

Former MDFA Elite Division champions, ONGC produced a slick combined performance to thrash Bank of India 5-0 in an Elite Division encounter played out at the Cooperage ground on Monday.

The hero of ONGC’s fluent win was striker Sunil Lohar who scored a second half hat-trick to power the team to victory. Himanshu Patil (12th minute) and Abhijith K. (43rd minute) scored the first two goals to give ONGC a clear 2-0 advantage at the break.

After switching ends Lohar showed good finishing as he went on to score three goals in the 53rd, 85th and 88th minutes to complete the winning tally.

Meanwhile in Super Division, Veniza XI FC hold Silver Innings FC to a goal less draw while in other game a late surge of goals from Ratnam proved a bit too late as Atlanta held on to a 3-2 victory.

Kunal Mhatre opened the scoring in just the 4th minute before Aditya Kerkar doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Near the end of first half, Vishnu Menon struck the third goal of the da to put his in comfortable position. Changing over, Ratnam came out with more on attack but failed to break Atlanta defence until the 83rd minute when Ikenna Ahukanna’s strike reduced the deficit to two goals.

Things got interesting when Nikhil Shetty struck the second goal for Ratnam four minutes later to setup an intriguing final moments of the game. However Atlanta held on strongly to end the game with win and all three points.
