Shaan twin strikes inspires India Rush

Shaan Verma’s doubles strikes inspired India Rush SC, Bandra to a fluent 6-3 win against Sportlead SC, Mira Road in a boys’ under-12 match of the of IDBI Federal Life Insurance-The Sunday League (Season 4), at the Western Railway ground, Lower Parel.

Besides Shaan’s fine efforts his teammates Anamay Arora, Erwyn D’Souza, Rayan Piparaiya and Vedant Roy, all contributed with a goal each to complete the winning tally. For Sportlead striker Shaksham Singh was in great form and scored all the three goals.

In another match, Holy Cross Convent School, Mira Road and Barça Academy, Mumbai shared honours as they played out a goalless draw.

In a boys’ under-8 match, Arnav Chaudhari netted both the goals as Learn to Play, Mulund defeated Footie First, Andheri 2-0. Arnav won the ‘Player of the match’ award.

Results – Boys’ under 12:

India Rush SC, Bandra 6 (Shaan Verma 2, Anamay Arora, Erwyn D’Souza, Rayan Piparaiya, Vedant Roy) beat Sportlead, Mira Road 3 (Shaksham Singh 3).

Player of the match: Vedansh Pilani (India Rush SC).

Holy Cross Convent School, Mira Road 0 drew with Barça Academy, Mumbai 0.

Player of the match: Kabir Thakkar (Barça Academy) & Ethan Parmar (Holy Cross Convent School).

Boys’ under-8: Learn to Play, Mulund 2 (Arnav Chaudhari 2) beat Footie First, Andheri 0.

Player of the match: Parth Gawde (Learn to Play).
