Mumbai Football round up: Century win in Elite, SBI ride on Aryaman goal to edge Juhu Sparks

Aryaman Sapre scored the decisive winner to help SBI snatch a 1-0 win against Juhu Sparks in a Super Division match while in Elite Division Century Rayon blank BOI

A late own goal turned out to be the only blot for Century Rayon outfit who otherwise produced a clinical performance to rout Bank of India 1-0 on Monday. A dominating first half saw goals from Thotchan Vasham, Shahbaz Khan and Venkatesh Jolimarta put Century  in a commanding position with 3-0 lead at break.

After restart, Bank of India managed to slow things down but not enough as Elton Dsouza added one more to the tally to make it 4-0. With ten minutes to go, Century Rayon conceded a goal via an own goal to reduce the lead to three goals, however the BOI could not make most of it as the game ended at 4-1.

Meanwhile in Super Division a first half goal from Aryaman sapre turned out to be the difference as SBI edged past Juhu Sparks played out at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Tuesday.

In another match, Desperadoes SC got the better of RSF Sports Club ‘B’  by a similar 1-0 score line with Jasprit Kaunsal scorin the all-important winner.
