WIFA Women’s Football League: PIFA Sports vanquish South Mumbai United

In today’s WIFA Women’s Football League match, PIFA Sports FC displayed an outstanding performance thumping 5 goals past South Mumbai United.

PIFA maintained their unbeaten run after playing three games. In today’s match, Sushmita Lepcha of PIFA Sports FC broke the deadlock at the 37th minute. She completed her brace within a few minutes scoring at the 42nd minute. The third goal was scored by Pratima Mukhia, who increased the lead at the 44th minute ensuring a commendable lead after the initial 45 minutes.

In the second half, PIFA maintained their dominance. The Head Coach seemed to maintain the pressure in the final third and made an attacking change at the 51st minute. Defender Resma Singh was substituted by Forward Sasmita Behera. The substitution did bear the fruits as Sasmita scored twice at the 70th minute and during the additional time. The final whistle ensured PIFA Sports FC rejoice a massive victory against South Mumbai United. PIFA continue their unbeaten run and sit on top of the table bagging 9 points from 3 matches whereas South Mumbai are placed at the third position with 5 points from 4 matches.

In tomorrow’s WIFA Women’s Football League fixtures, Spark FC will face Samuel FA and Pacangan FC play against Snigmay FC at the Cooperage Stadium, Mumbai.
