MDFA Elite Division: KSA thump FSI Sea View 4-0

In a highly physical encounter, Karnatak Sporting Association smashed four goals past a lackluster FSI Sea View side to pick up their third win in a row.
KSA continued their winning run in Rustomjee-MDFA Elite Division as they registered a dominating 4-0 win over FSI – Sea View played out at Neville D’souza Ground, Bandra on Monday.
In-form striker Deepak Pal struck a brace to power KSA to a thumping win while Alok Chauhan and Pawan Rawat scored a goal each. IT was a field day for referee and linesman as the game witnessed lots of fouls with as many as 7 Yellow cards and two penalty decisions given out by Referee Ivo Fernandes.
The game started with KSA looking better on the ball, around the 22nd minute mark, a foul inside the KSA box resulted in the referee pointing to the spot which was well converted by Alok Chauhan. The game continued on high tempo with both sides vying for the ball possession. However neither side managed to find net anymore at the end of first half with KSA leading 1-0.
In the 2nd half, KSA once again came out with intent for goals and were soon rewarded with two quick goals. The game had turned physical with as many as 4 yellow cards shown by the referee in the space of five minutes before Deepak doubled the lead in the 55th minute. Three minutes later Pal added the third to the tally as KSA took control of the game. There was another penalty decision going in favour of KSA however this time around Alok failed to convert his spotkick as the score remained at 3-0.
In search of goals, FSI – Sea View put men forward however some resolute defending from KSA meant the former could not the find the back of the net. As the game trudged towards closing, in the 3rd minute of injury time, Pawan Rawat found himself in a 1-on-1situation against the goalkeeper and made no mistake in dispatching it past for the fourth goal of the game.
Result-Elite division:
KSA (Alok Chhauhan 22’(P), 55’, Deepak Pal 58’, Pawan Rawant 90+3’) 4 – 0 FSI – Sea View
