Super Division: Second half goal blitz powers Income Tax home

MDFA Super Division side Income Tax Football team will be conducting trials for ‘Guest Players’ for its upcoming 2019-20 season

Mumbai, February 20, 2019: Income Tax broke out of jail in the second half as Sandesh Gadkari, Tyson Patel and Linekar Machado fired them to a 4-0 win against Intelenet at the Neville D’Souza Ground on Wednesday.

Intelenet had defended doggedly in the first half and had kept Gadkari at bay.

Income Tax relied on Gadkari’s physical play to unsettle the Intelenet backline. Santosh Shinde made an incredible double save in the 42nd minute for Income Tax. Superb stuff!

The first half finished goalless as Intelenet had held firm at the back.

A four-goal blitz followed in the second which powered the taxmen to a comprehensive win.

The floodgates opened as Linekar Machado scored in the 61st minute.

Patel joined the party with goals in the 76th and 84th minutes to put the game beyond Intelenet’s reach. Gadkari slammed home the winner in the 91st minute to round it off.

Intelenet was clueless against the goal blitz!
