Super Division: Intelenet and Warriors play out hard fought draw

Mumbai, February 5, 2019: Intelenet and Mumbai Warriors scraped out a 1-1 draw in a game of missed chances at the Neville D’Souza Ground on Monday.

Sagar Salian and Pratik Sharma scored for Intelenet and Mumbai Warriors in the 15th and 25th minutes respectively.

Salian scored as he applied an easy finish from inside the box after the opposition defenders had failed to clear.

Warriors pushed men forward as Intelenet held firm at the back.

Sharma scored from a chip off a tight angle to make it 1-1 for Warriors. A superb effort!

The game was 1-1 at half time with both teams having had a fair shot for a second goal.

Two superb saves by Intelenet goalkeeper Berwin Gama was the highlight of the first half.

Intelenet failed to capitalize on the flurry of chances in the second half.

Salian troubled Warriors with his pace and dribbling and was the best player for Intelenet.

Steven Gomes dictated passing and created space for Intelenet’s attackers.

Intelenet smartly rotated the flanks and pinned Warriors in their own half for much of the second half.

Bosco Pereira, Ishaan Sidana, Navin Koli and Pereira came close to a winner only for Warriors to hold on!
