MDFA 3rd Division: Nimish stars with hattrick in Ambitious win, Dsouza FA pick comfortable win in play-off rounds

Hat-trick from in-form striker Nimish Dugad and a brace from Devarshi Koli gave Ambitious FA a thumping 5-0 win against Palkaya FC during their third 3rd Division play-off group encounter.

The game began Palkaya FC starting off on a attacking note but failed to break the Ambitious defence. Soon enough Ambitious took control of the game and started dominating. The first big chance came to Deepak Kharatmol who failed to keep his shot on target with goalkeeper already beaten.

Minutes before half-time, Nimish Dugad opened the scoring to put his side 1-0 ahead going into the break. Second half began with Ambitious asserting their dominance right away with Nimish doubling the lead in the 27th minute. Few minutes later, Devarshi slotted home two more goals in the space of three minutes. Nimish added one more midway into the second half to complete his hat-trick & fashion a thumping 5-0 win.

Earlier, Dsouza Football Academy scored a convincing 3-1 win over Millat FC Colts. Swadesh Koli, Aaron Rebello & Kenneth Fernandes were the goal scorers for Dsouza Football Academy, while Striker Abuzarr Patel scored the solitary goal for Millat FC Colts.

In another encounter, India on Track overcame a late Somaiya Sports Academy attack to win 2-1. An own goal from Aman Pal put India on track in lead before in the second half, striker Sheldon Chettiar doubled the lead. Somaiya Sports soon pulled one back through Pranay in the 38th minute. In the final ten minutes despite efforts from Somaiya SA, India on track did well to hold on to the lead and take all three point.

In the Jeevies FC versus Brillian Sports Academy encounter, it was the former that came up triumphs courtesy of a solitary goal from Tejas Pawar in the 11th minute.
