G. M. Sports Club tame Millat FC

G. M. Sports Club were in top form and scored an authoritative 6-1 victory against Millat FC in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League

Mumbai: G.M. Sports Club were in top form as they scored an authoritative 6-1 victory against Millat FC in an Elite Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra.

The game began with Abdul Ejaz opening the scoring for G M Sports Club with his fifth minute strike. Millat FC immediately responded with a goal of their own courtesy of Merick fernandes’s strike. However as the game progressed, GM Sports started to gain control of the proceedings with Jayraj Ghelani finding the back of the net to put his side in front. Aniket Joshi doubled the lead around the half hour mark. Millat tried to make a  comeback but found it difficult to break GMSC defence.

Post break Abdul Ejas once again started the scoring for GMSC as he completed his brace in the 54th minute. Rolden Castelino and Umang Surti added two more late in the game to complete 6-1 rout of Millat FC.

Results – Elite Div: G.M. Sports Club (Abdul Ejaz 5′, 54′, Jayraj Ghelani 24′, Aniket Joshi 31′, Rolden Castelino 82′, Umang Surti 85′) 6 – 1 Millat FC (Merick Fernandes 6′)
