Youth League: Twinkle Star, Milan FA & Kenkre triumphs
9th January 2018, Mumbai: Three matches were played in the ongoing MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association U-16 Youth League earlier today at YMCA Ground. Twinkle Star played Constiente Football, Chembur YMCA met Milan Football Academy and Kenkre FC locked horns against Our Lady of Fatima.
Group E – Twinkle Star (Yugandhar 3′, Karan Jadyar 6′ & 28′) 3-1 Constiente Football (Srikrishna Futane 36′)
In Group E clash, Twinkle Star played Constiente Football in a one-sided match at YMCA Ground. Twinkle Star registered a comprehensive 3-1 victory to snatch crucial points and continue their fine form. Yugandhar opened the scoring in the 3rd minute before Karan Jadyar made it 2-0 just three minutes later.
The third and final goal came in the 28th minute when Karan Jadyar doubled his and Twinkle Star’s tally to take a vital 3-0 lead. Srikrishna Futane pulled a goal back for Constiente Football but it only proved out to be a consolation goal.
Group A – Kenkre FC (Pratham 2, Manak and Rony) 4-0 Our Lady of Fatima
In Group A encounter, Kenkre FC locked horns against Our Lady of Fatima and registered an impressive 4-0 victory after displaying some eye-pleasing attacking football at YMCA Ground. Pratham bagged a brace for Kenkre while Manak and Rony scored one each to complete a memorable win against a hapless Our Lady of Fatima side.
