Tejas stars in Ambitious FA first Youth league win
Playing in their first season of Youth League, Ambitious FA produced a scintillating performance to earn their first win of the campaign
After succumbing to a disappointing 0-1 loss in their opening game of U16 Youth League campaign, Ambitious came back in style with stellar 2-0 win over SSFA side in their second group game.
After a cagey start, Ambitious soon began growing in to the game with more possession and soon were rewarded with a lead in the 16th minute. Man of the match Tejas Koli initiated the attack with a looping ball for Angel Erangale who in turn quickly headed the ball on to the path of onrushing Tejas in acres of space, as he took his time before producing a neat finish to beat the SSFA goalkeeper.
Both sides went in to the break with Ambitious leading by a goal to none. In the second half, SSFA started brightly in search of equaliser but failed to break the resolute defence of Ambitious FA. In the dying minutes, Ambitious killed off the game with a second goal coming from Devesh Bhandari.
Minutes before the full time, an attack from the right wing saw Ronit Koli putting a delightful through ball to Devesh who beat his marker first and then showcased a sense of calmness to dribble past and beat the onrushing keeper before pulling the trigger to score his first goal for the club.
The game ended at 2-0 score line as Ambitious kept themselves alive in the group with two more games to go.
