Supremo Zonal Tournament: Team Thane

21st April 2018, Mumbai: In association with MDFA – Mumbai District Football Association, Supremo Chashak, an NGO founded by MLA Mr. Sanjay Potnis have held a Zonal Football Tournament which is all set to go underway from 22nd April 2018. The Tournament will be contested at Air India Football Ground, Kalina.

The Zonal Tournament consists of eight teams: Borivali, Parel, Kalina, Colaba, Mumbai Central, Bandra, Navi Mumbai and Thane. Here is how Team Thane looks ahead of the Zonal Tournament:

Without a shadow of a doubt, Team Thane looks quite terrifying. A blend of experience, tenacity, youth core and strong management, Thane has the potential to go all the way and clinch the Supremo Chashak Zonal Tournament title. A side which is led by Former Indian International Steven Dias is enough to lure attention towards the team.

Experience players like Jinto Jose, Ravish D’Souza, Shrikant Veramallu and Shailesh Jadhav can prove to be lethal. ISL side Jamshedpur’s Farukh Choudhary, Air India’s Rinaldo Fernandes, Ex Mumbai FC Vaibhav Karpe, Team Thane looks all set to go to the battleground. The side looks, well and truly, balanced. Most of the players have played together for a long time which can be quite instrumental in their run.

Apart from the team, the management has a sheer experience of managing number of big teams in Mumbai. Rohit D’Souza, Rohan Shinde’s managing nous has the ability to take Thane all the way.
