Supremo Chasak Football 2018 Day 1 Results and Updates

Thane, Kalina zones picked up close wins while Navi Mumbai edged Borivali on Tie-breakers, meanwhile Bandra picked a comfortable 2-0 win in the final game of the day 1 of Supremo Chasak 2018.
The opening game of the Supremo Chasak Football tournament lived up to the expectation as a closely fought game ended with Kalina Raigad picking up an important win. After an even opening few minutes, a controversial decision gifted Kalina Raigad an early penalty after Kalina no. 10 was fouled at the edge of the box although the replay suggested the foul happened just outside the box. Adnan Ishqe made no mistake in converting the spot kick as he sent the keeper the wrong way to make it 1-0 for Kalina Raigad.
In the second half, another defensive lapse from Mumbai Central Pratapgad allowed Kalina to take a 2 goal lead. A long ball into the box was poorly judged by Mumbai Pratapgad no. 3 as the ball fell for Kalina forward Kamran Siddiqui, who made no mistake in calmly dispatching the ball past an onrushing keeper. Deep into the injury time, substitute Sajid Ansari’s stunning 30 yard strike reduced the margin for Mumbai Central Pratapgad to 2-1 but it wasn’t enough for a comeback as soon the referee blew the full time whistle to end the game at 2-1 score line.
