Reports: Juventus table offer for Barcelona duo

Both have been uninspiring for FC Barcelona this season

Massimiliano Allegri and Co. have planned to bolster Juventus squad by signing Barcelona duo this summer. According to reports from Spanish News Media outlet, Diario Gol, Juventus have tabled an offer of 55 million Euros to sign Paco Alacer and Andre Gomes.

Both Paco and Gomes had an uninspiring season at the Catalan camp, where they did not have any significant roles. Both players struggled to perform consistently in their star-studded squad.

Portuguese attacker, Andre Gomes played 16 games for FC Barcelona this season but failed to impress the fans. He was dropped from Portugal’s squad, that would participate in the upcoming world cup. Switching away from Barcelona would help the player rejuvenate his career.

The same has been the story of Paco Alacer, who, too, had a disappointing outing at Barcelona. However, he managed to bag four goals and four assists to his name.

FC Barcelona’s newly appointed technical director Eric Abidal wants 65 million Euros and it seems like Juventus have to slightly hike the offer they have tabled.

However, FC Barcelona would not be too reluctant to offload these two players, who were neither impressive nor influential for their team. If Juventus managed to sign these two players, it would also help Barcelona allocate space for their new recruitments.
