Manchester United player behind Zidane leaving Real Madrid!

Zidane quit Real Madrid days after the 3rd consecutive UEFA Champions League triumph.

Zinedine Zidane left everyone wondering when he announced he was stepping down as Real Madrid coach. Two and a half years, 3 Champions League trophy. None would’ve expected his announcement, but what made him quit?

According to reports from Diario Gol, Zidane had dissonances with Real Madrid president Perez over signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The former Real Madrid coach was a great admirer of Keylor Navas and wanted him to don the No.1 jersey for Real Madrid. Keylor Navas made many blunders this season and was a struggling figure at times.

However, Perez was interested in replacing Keylor Navas with their long-term target, David De Gea, who currently plays for Manchester United.

It led to conflict between Zidane and Perez over the transfer policy. However, instead of going against Perez, Zidane decided to quit Real Madrid job.

Zidane is currently linked with moves to Chelsea and Qatar national team. However, it is unlikely that he’d join either party. In the conference, Zidane asserted that he was not looking for clubs.

Real Madrid are currently on the lookout for their new manager. Former Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger, former Real Madrid player Guti, Chelsea coach Antonio Conte, Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino etc. are currently the front-runners for the coveted spot.
