MDFA Yuva President League: Creek View down Salcette FC 2-1


Creek View SC scored a hard-fought 2-1 win against Salcette FC in a keenly contested encounter of the Rustomjee-MDFA Yuva President Boys’ U-16 League 2018-19 and played at the MSSA ground, Azad Maidan.

Both Creek View and Salcette FC were engaged in a tense battle for supremacy, but the former managed to hit the target twice through Yash Jadhav and Rohan Jamdare to come out trumps. For Salsette FC the lone goal was scored by Devansh Prabhu.

In another match, PIFA Colaba proved too good and stormed past Athens XI by a convincing 5-0 margin, Striker Mehul Solanki led the way with a double strike, while Daniyal Ansari, Amrit Semwal and Aayan Khan all added one goal apiece to complete the win.

Later, Oscar SSE defeated Rudra FA 5-1. For Oscar SSE Rahul Saroj struck two goals and Sanjeet Devidayal, Mohammed Meer Lakhani and Sujal Singe chipped in with one goal each to round off the winning margin. Rudra managed to cut the deficit with Pratik Vapilkar scoring the consolation goal.

Results – Boys’ Under-16: SSFA 3 (Yashraj Kondhalkar 1, Vansh Rao 1, Vivek Prasad 1) beat FLA 1 (Mohammed Ibrahim 1).

Creek View 2 (Yash Jadhav 1, Rohan Jamdare 1) beat Salcette FC 1 (Devansh Prabhu 1).

Oscar SSE 5 (Rahul Saroj 2, Sanjeet Devidayal 1, Mohammed Meer Lakhani 1, Sujal Singe 1) beat Rudra FA 1 (Pratik Vapilkar 1).

PIFA Colaba 5 (Mehul Solanki 2, Daniyal Ansari 1, Amrit Semwal 1, Aayan Khan 1) beat Athens XI 0.
